One of the best ways to appreciate the sea, is to see it on one hand as its whole from far and, on the other hand, to live it on a boat. Today wear light clothes and comfortable shoes and go to discover picturesque views of the sea along the Amalfi Coast. From Sorrento the tour leader takes you by bus to Ravello, a gem of the Coast 350m above the sea level. Have a walk in the town centre with its 11th Century Cathedral and stroll along the beautiful, lined villas. From the belvedere you have a first stunning image of the infinite and sparkling sea. You leave the Telesina Valley in the early morning and crossing the countryside you then start climbing up the mountain. After about two hours you are in Sulmona. This town is famous for the production of delicious Italian “confetti”: almonds covered by different flavours of sugar which are offered to the guests of a wedding. In the early afternoon you then proceed to the centre of Scanno. A tiny, medieval and lovely village at 1050m over see level with small alleys where you have the chance to taste typical local products, such as cheese and sweets, and visit an ancient workshop of a goldsmith. If you are lucky, you can even meet elderly women with their traditional dress, today a symbol of the pastoral past of this village, when shepherds used to lead their sheeps from one place to the other of the mountain. Scanno will leave you a nostalgic feeling of a simple and rural life. By the end of the day you head back to Telesina Valley.
